On 9 July the PrecisionPlastics consortium met at EGITRON, with ANI — the Portuguese National Innovation Agency — present, to report on the progress of the project, share the results achieved so far and demonstrate the prototypes that have been built.

All partners took part: EGITRON, Universidade Fernando Pessoa, PIEP — Innovation in Polymer Engineering, Sirplaste and Universidade do Minho. UFP was represented by Prof. Christophe Soares and Prof. Feliz Gouveia.

The session showed the prototypes that combine automation, hardware and software for plastics recycling that is smarter, more precise and more sustainable. The project is funded by COMPETE 2030 (COMPETE2030-FEDER-01183400).
