About
LIACC @ UFP is the pole of LIACC — the Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science Laboratory of the University of Porto — at Universidade Fernando Pessoa (UFP).
The group
The group was created in July 2007 by four professors of the undergraduate and master’s degrees in Informatics Engineering at UFP, to develop and stimulate research in ubiquitous computing, wireless sensor networks, mobile systems, interactive systems and intelligent systems. The group has worked with LIACC since 2015, and in 2024 it became the LIACC pole at UFP.
Today the group works on artificial intelligence and machine learning, computer vision and imaging, ubiquitous computing and the Internet of Things, with applications in health, industry and sustainability. Students at different stages of their studies work alongside the researchers in a variety of projects.
The group is supported by the Faculty of Science and Technology of UFP.
